I AM PRESENCE

I recently came across something I had read decades ago. I spontaneously thought: why does that stick with me, or why am I encountering it repeatedly now? At the time, it was books about Saint Germain, a remarkable figure thought to have lived sometime in the 18th century, who moved in high circles in Europe and sometimes appeared under other names in Venice or Russia. He is also associated with the I AM teachings, the violet flame, transcendence, etc.
And then I thought of that phrase: I Am Presence. I let that sink in for what it means to me now, and what I could tell others about it.
“I Am”... yes, my existence, my being. “Presence” is then the experience of the present moment, it is as it is, also being present to others. It can mean that I identify completely with the here and now, consciousness itself, or the awareness of existence. I am not just a body or thoughts, I am the essence of consciousness, Being itself, present in this moment. Or is it constant Mindfulness?
Then it dawned on me that I still have that book by Spalding: The Masters of the Far East, a wonderful book. Sometimes you buy a book but you're not ready for it. You buy it because others talk about it or are working with it. That's what happened to me then, I thought it was far removed from my life. But now it's different. I understand it differently.
The “I Am Presence” is the connection to your Higher Self, from which the connection to the Divine is present. And with what I do now for others and for myself, I use that without even knowing it, taught by my mentor, for example. He will never say this or that; he lets you find and experience it for yourself.
You can ask your Higher Self for things, certain energies, let yourself connect in complete confidence with what suits you and what suits others. There is never too much or too little, it is always present in the right way for what you need at this moment.
It's not about thinking, feeling, or doing — it's about being. In daily life, we often identify with our thoughts, worries, and experiences. We live in memories of the past or projections of the future. Presence breaks this pattern. Presence doesn't mean that problems disappear, but that you are no longer consumed by them.
For example, if you were to use this affirmation daily, you would shift “one gear up” to your Higher Self. At least, that's how I experience it. This is not woolly at all, but just a brief departure from your routine, which doesn't have to take long. Then you recognize that your true essence is not determined by what you experience, but by the consciousness that perceives all this.
